Treatment to Katy Perry: Hummingbird Heartbeat
This is the treatment to Hummingbird Heartbeat. There are three main components when writing a treatment, these are selling, content and budget. First off I’ll be explaining the content that I believe will go with this song brilliantly. The song itself is very lively and happy, it constantly had a positive vibe running through, therefore I think that when Katy stars in the music video she shouldn’t be staged, and there shouldn’t be a storyline, it should be as though the audience is spying on her. By this I mean she will be dancing around possibly in a field of poppy’s, or other flowers that have beautiful colours, which compliment her skin, eyes, smile and personality. We’ll want low shows and shots that look shaky as though we actually are spying on her. This will give a fun and more naturel feel to the video.
Next is the selling point of the video and song. Katy wants to be presented as a fun, happy young woman who lives life to the full and is enjoying her time as a pop star, after all she is a role model to millions of others in the world and because she wants to be presented in such a way, these young girls will want to be like her and this will be a huge selling point to this album. If when we release the music video, and we have presented Katy in a way that she is happy with, the audience will see this and will be inspired in more ways than one. (Some text missing)
